Why Join the Board?
The Board oversees the College’s work, setting the strategic direction and supporting long-term success. As the College prepares to launch a new strategic plan on April 1, 2026, it is an exciting time to get involved as a Professional Board Directior. Board and statutory committee participation offers opportunities to step into leadership, contribute to regulatory decision-making in the public interest, and develop skills and experience that can support individual professional growth.
The College works in partnership with midwives to ensure midwifery care is safe and effective – to do this right, we need a range of perspectives and a diversity of lived and professional experiences to be front and centre in all our decision-making. We are looking for midwives from across the province in all career stages and areas of practice to get involved and be a voice for clients and members of the public in Ontario.
Self-regulation works because of engaged midwives working in the public interest. Midwifery care is evolving – you can make a difference and help to shape midwifery regulation in the years to come.
