All registrants in the inactive class should read this important information about 2024 class change deadlines.
If you plan to apply for a class change from the inactive class, and intend to practise prior to February 1, 2025, we encourage you to start the process as soon as possible. Please note:
- The class change process typically takes eight weeks to complete.
- Registrants who do not meet the clinical currency requirement may be referred to the Registration Committee panel for review.
- The last panel meeting in 2024 is scheduled for December 12. To be considered for this panel, you must submit a complete class change application no later than November 28, 2024.
- Following a panel meeting, it can take up to 30 days for the written decision to be issued.
Applications received after November 28 that are referred to a panel will not be scheduled for review until mid-January.
Finally, please note:
- Our office will be closed from December 24 at noon to January 2. We are also closed on weekends. During this time, we will not process any registration requests.
- If you request a class change date that falls on a weekend or holiday, it will take effect on the next business day.
- Please ensure you take these deadlines into consideration as you negotiate your contract start date with your practice. We kindly ask that you plan accordingly, as no exceptions can be made.
