Public Health Ontario has several resources that cover the underlying principles of reprocessing, applicable to all community-based clinics and dental practices performing minor procedures. Through their website, midwives and the public can access online learning modules, checklists, best practice guidance, tools and resources, and reprocessing workshops. We had some good feedback from our Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) article in our last newsletter, and wanted to take this opportunity to share a couple of new resources from Public Health Ontario. Infection prevention and control (IPAC) is a daily part of midwifery practice in all settings – clinic, hospital, and community, including homes. Attention to IPAC is a key area for discussion in the midwifery community and a number of new resources are available that are applicable to midwifery practice.
