Home Board 2023 Professional Member Council By-Election

2023 Professional Member Council By-Election

The College of Midwives of Ontario is holding a by-election from November 1, 2023 to November 30, 2023, to fill a vacancy of a professional member position on Council.  The term will begin at the first Council meeting post-election currently scheduled on December 5, 2023 and will run until October 2025.

The College of Midwives of Ontario is self-regulated, and its Council makes important decisions about the College’s strategy, standards, by-laws, policies and regulations. Council members have the duty to commit to upholding the mandate of the College, which is to regulate the profession of midwifery in the public interest.

All midwives who are eligible to vote have the opportunity influence representation on Council by voting for the midwife you think will best serve the College’s mandate of regulating in the public interest. An email with a voting ballot, platform, and instructions on how to vote has been sent to all eligible voters.

Voting is open from November 1, 2023 12:00 am to November 30, 2023 11:59 pm (EST).

If you have not received your voting ballot or should you encounter any issues in the voting process, please contact the College at cmo@cmo.on.ca.
