First graduates of the College’s prior learning program

The Prior Learning Assessment Process (PLA) was created to allow registration applicants with midwifery training and experience who were not Ontario graduates to apply to become registered midwives in Ontario.

The first applications to the College from the prior learning program were processed in December, 1996.
