On June 1, 2018, the Professional Standards for Midwives came into effect. The new standards describe what is expected of all midwives registered with the College of Midwives of Ontario. The Professional Standards set out the College’s minimum requirements regarding practice and conduct, and helps midwives achieve the best outcomes for their clients and the public.
