Notice of By-Election

The College of Midwives of Ontario will be holding a by-election from November 1, 2023 to November 30, 2023, to fill for a vacancy of a professional member position on Council.  The term will begin at the first Council meeting post-election currently scheduled on December 5, 2023 and will run until October 2025.

Call for Nominations

The College’s Council makes regulatory decisions in the public interest.  In order to make decisions truly reflective of the interests of all Ontarians, we require the expertise and perspectives of individuals with a variety of experiences that represent a range of communities. We are particularly encouraging midwives from Indigenous, Black and racialized communities, marginalized communities, rural communities, as well as midwives who are disabled, French speaking, internationally educated, or practising in expanded, collaborative and/or community health team models to run for election.

Council has made significant progress on our five year strategic plan. Read the Strategic Plan 2021-2026 to learn more about the key priorities and initiatives that the College will be focused over this Council term.

The College is also committed to accessibility and reducing barriers to participation. If you are an individual who may require accommodation to participate in the election process or upon election to Council, please select the option to request support available on the nomination form.
